Protein Supplementation Programs

The body has three compartments of energy from which to draw to meet its metabolic needs: Carbohydrates, Muscle and Fats.

It draws on these reserves in a very specific order.  Chronologically the body will draw on its carbohydrate reserve first before turning to the muscle and fat.

During the weight loss phases of the protocol we limit the carbohydrate intake to force the body to turn to its fat and muscle compartments.  Because we are consuming our Protein supplements which consist of high-biological protein foods throughout the day, muscle mass loss will not occur leaving the body to only target fat.

Our protocol is not a high-protein diet in any way.  It simply provides the body an adequate amount of protein to ensure muscle is not lost.  This medically designed protocol is being used to help the obese client to the person looking to tone and shape the body by eliminating the bad fat.
